Update for September 2023
Michelle Flynn, and her school Boyne Ballet will take over all the classes in Ballet Academy Ireland in Navan.
Boyne Ballet is led by ABT® National Curriculum Level V certified teacher, Michelle Flynn.
Michelle first experienced her love of ballet when she was seven years old, attending classes in Drogheda with Brenda Murphy and taking examinations under the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. As an adult, she returned to the ballet world and connected with Suzanne Bergin and continued her training at Coastal Ballet School.
Eager to perform, she later joined the Academy of Russian Ballet in Dublin, where she trained closely with Monica Loughman before becoming a company corps de ballet member with the Monica Loughman Elite ballet company. She was soon promoted to soloist, performing roles in La Sylphide, Nutcracker, Giselle and Swan Lake.
From 2016-2021, Michelle spent time in America, and it was during this time she completed the ABT® National Training Curriculum in New York city (grades Pre-Primary to Level V). Her focus now is to take that training and experience, and offer access for ballet students to participate in ABT® examinations in Ireland, as well as apply for ABT® summer programs in New York.
